The Power of Visual Storytelling: An Introduction to Infographics and Data Visualization
  Making data visual can be very simple, or it can be very demanding, especially when you want to create clearer, more meaningful visuals that can tell stories themselves. This workshop will cover the basic principles of data visualization design and will focus on introducing several useful free tools to organize your data into interactive illustrations.

數學與政治 Mathematics and Politics
  政治角力經常會涉及集體決策,而投票正好是處理分歧的重要工具。本講座將會從數學角度探討選舉的不同制度,從而了 解數學的思考方法於社會扮演的重要角色。 Decision making is a very important part of politics. Political figures compete against each other to get elected, while representatives of the people debate fiercely about passages of controversial bills. How do we make collective decisions on different issues? Is there any logic behind the different ways we reach a consensus? In this talk, we will look at different voting methods and see how mathematical thinking plays a crucial role in the study of fairness.
